Fab Feb !!

February is here! The reasons why Feb is really a 참!!!! good month...

Foremost, gained admission to Korea's most distinguished university, Seoul National University! After nearly 7 months of studying Korean Language in my 'hometown' SunMoon University, moving to and fro from it's 2 campuses , Asan and Cheon-an, this result came after almost a month having sat for the NIIED( National Institute for International Education , Korea)-prepared exam , KLPT and TEPS back in early January.
(KLPT Korean Language Proficiency Test , TEPS Test of English Proficiency by Seoul National Uni)
Of course, besides looking at my mere-satisfactory korean and much-better English proficiency results, they also assess our high school grades, study plan, etc etc. Still I have to continue with another semester of studying Korean in SNU to be able to complete my Korean Language Studies in Level 6.
The only setback after knowing about my admission to Seoul Uni is that i wanted to change to another major, Mechanical Engineering. Even though i travelled up to Seoul Uni directly to have a talk with the person-in-charge, it was in vain..fruitless.
Saying a change in major is only possible after 3/4 semesters of studying. What bull**** is that...as long as it's within the students' needs, the university should look straight into it! Nevertheless I managed to get a tour around Seoul Uni campus in Gwanaksa through its free shuttle bus services and look around the engineering campus too.
Really big~ @.@ Looking forward to life in Seoul and SNU ^^
P;S Congrats to all my friends who have gained entry to their university of choice and for those who didn't, don't let it dampen your will to further pursue your study in Korea. The challenge has only begin! 건배~ cheers~

And then, about a week from today, I went to my Korean friend's high school graduation ceremony! Talking about Korean's education, although it's really tough but they really honour students who excel well. So during the graduation ceremony, each student's name is called and a certificate of whatever the student excels in is given, therefore each student's contribution is well recognised! Another culture about Korean high school graduation is that parents give their child a bouquet of flowers after the end of the graduation ceremony. And they wear graduation hoods, gown and a mortar board, which looks really good! Gah, don't have a chance to wear it even though I finished high school.. what kinda malaysian high school even have such special graduation ceremony , blahh~~ -.- wth o~
Generally, February is a month for graduating students either from High school or Universities in Korea. So there'll be lots of celebration and happenings around. Really a nice sight~

Also on Feb, it is officially the end of my stay in SunMoon University, studying Korean Language at its Cheon-an 천안 campus since my first day in Korea, 26 June 2008 and also a transaction to a new life in the lively metropolitan city of Seoul. Cheon-an, the people here are really kind, getting to know some uncles and aunties from my badminton activities as well as older friends or Sunbaes from the university. Thanks alot to them for making my 7month++ life in Cheon-an/Asan a memorable one. And not to miss, my ever-so-ever kind and friendly teachers and friends from the Korean Language Institute! And also the friendly ahjummas in the cafeteria in cheon-an who cooks better food each time we are eating, lol! I'll never forget you guys! 영원히 잊지못할것이다!

Besides, 16th of Feb will be my first Orientation in Seoul Uni, looking forward to meet with smart Koreans..hopefully make some nice friends within my department on the first day itself^^ And then 23rd-25th would be Lecture Registration Period which is important, to choose a good teacher who can teach and speak good English for my benefit =p
Oh yea, speaking about moving to our respective new unis, I wonder why NIIED and all the entrusted Unis did not allocate a special day for all of us to move at on e time. It's so random right now. My friends are moving to different unis on different days and as for my case, I still don't know when i'm moving -.-'
Whatever the case, I'm sure SNU will choose a day for us to move ASAP! lol

Oh and oh, Feb is a good news month. Because....MY PARENTS and sister told me they are coming for a tour and visit to korea this coming April~~ woot! hahahaha! Great~ marvellous~ so looking to it! hopefully will have some time to bring them around~..since april is a really busy month with exams and assignments 과제 etc etc

Unrelatedly, Feb is a good month for Couples~ yeah! i'm talking about Valentine's! To speak the truth I never once celebrated Valentine's~ Well sad right! T.T Hopefully the next time~~ ^_^ and oh, congrats to all those couples celebrating V day^^

There goes for it....will be back after my OT day! hehe...
